The Joysts agent gift, on one page
An agent in your office wants to give buyers a year of Joysts. This is everything it involves.
- What it is
- Joysts is software for home buyers and owners. A buyer uploads their inspection report; Joysts lists the inspector’s safety items first, each with the page it came from, then keeps the home’s papers, repairs and reminders in one record. It is not an inspection and does not change the inspector’s grading.
- What the agent gives
- A personal link. A client who signs up through it gets a year (365 days) of Joysts Complete. The client pays nothing, enters no card, and nothing renews on its own. When the year ends, the client keeps their record on the free plan.
- Who pays, and how much
- The agent, as their own marketing spend: $49 per client (founding agent price, normally $99) who claims the link and then uploads a first document, such as the inspection report. Each agent’s first client is free. Once, never renewing. A client who never uploads costs nothing. Billing has not started yet, so gifts you give before it does are free. Charged to the agent through Stripe, as software for a client. A card the agent saves can pay each gift automatically when it becomes due. Otherwise the agent pays from their dashboard.
- Money only goes one way
- Joysts never pays the agent or the brokerage: no commission, fee, rebate, credit or anything of value when a client signs up or uses Joysts. Joysts is not paid by any lender, title company, inspector or other party to the transaction for these gifts. It is a closing gift the agent buys, not a referral fee.
- What the agent sees
- Each client’s name, the date they joined, when the gift year ends, and whether they used Joysts in the last 30 days. The client can hide that last item at any time. The agent gets one email when a client claims the gift. Once pricing is on, the agent’s bill also shows whether the client has uploaded a document (that is what is billed), never what it is.
- What the agent never sees
- The client’s documents, findings, questions or home record, unless the client chooses to share a summary. Clients are told exactly what the agent sees before they sign up.
- How the agent appears
- The agent’s name, brokerage, photo and contact appear on the client’s record as “A gift from”. The card never suggests the agent inspected, verified or endorsed anything in the report.
- Client data
- Joysts never sells personal information. Documents are processed to build the client’s own record. Full details: Privacy Policy and Terms, “Gifts from real-estate agents”.
- What the brokerage should check
- Your own gift and marketing-spend policy, and your state’s rules on gifts to clients. Joysts does not give legal advice and does not decide whether a gift is allowed where you practice.
